Pamela is a true believer in building health from the inside out, and uses this in her approach of using Ixcela’s metabolite testing to “put the puzzle pieces together” on conditions or symptoms one may be experiencing that could be reflective of an imbalance in the microbiome. Based on the test results, Pamela works collaboratively with patients to come up with a plan focused on targeted interventions that are easily accessible and implementable into one’s lifestyle.
Serving the community as a Registered Dietitian for the past 17 years, Pamela has had the opportunity to work with patients in a variety of settings, ranging from inpatient ( acute and long term care) as well as outpatient counseling in the fitness space, dialysis, and most recently in telehealth for a cardiometabolic clinic. This diverse experience has allowed Pamela to grow and focus her practice around managing chronic conditions such as IBS/IBD, diabetes, heart, and kidney disease, as well as the GI conditions that may be co-existing alongside them.
Pamela has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University St. Paul, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Framingham State University. She is also Board Certified in Renal Nutrition.
As someone who likes to stay active, Pamela enjoys running (whether it be by the beach or on the trail with her 2 dogs), lifting, and roller skating. While she would not describe herself as an avid traveler, it is her dream to be able to visit every state in the US in her lifetime.
