Nikhil is a chemist and chemical engineer with a multidisciplinary back ground in analytical chemistry, chemometrics, pattern recognition, and forensics. He joined Ixcela in 2017 after completing his most recent postdoctoral research fellowship at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he worked on several projects involving identification of chemical signatures and development of source attribution methods for chemical threats and toxicants. In Nikhil’s previous postdoctoral work, he developed improved methods for identification of automobiles from automotive paint. This work was conducted with grants from National Institute of Justice in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He graduated from Oklahoma State Univeristy in 2012 with a masters in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Chemistry. His research has been published in 25 significant scientific journal articles.
